Employee Safety

All employees wear radiation monitoring devices. The results of this monitoring are provided to regulators, and show that employees' radiation intake is well below allowable limits.

Monitoring

Extensive monitoring programs include regular sampling of air, water, land, plants, and animals. Monitoring is ongoing beginning with exploration, and continues through all aspects of the operation.

Decommissioning

When mining is complete, the McArthur River site will be decommissioned. The area will be landscaped and re-vegetated, returning the area close to its original form. Environmental monitoring will continue.
